NOTICE: BirkenEd’s Place is Reopening!

21st September 2023

After a short break, BirkenEd’s Place reopens next week on Monday 25th September (11:00am-16:30pm) for more engagement, activities and events.

We will be offering free services again like community hot desking and support drop ins. Pop in to BirkenEd’s Place and make use of the free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee as part of our community hot desking. Come in when we’re open and crack on with some work or make use of our online corner with a desk and seated area. You could even chill on the sofas! Please note, however, that you will need to bring your own laptop/tablet and charging equipment. Involve North West will also be back in the space to offer support and advice in relation to mental health, employment, housing, benefits etc. This free drop in service will be available from 11:15am-12:15pm on the following Thursdays: 28th September, 12th October, and 19th October.

On Wednesday 27th September (12:00pm-14:00pm), we will be hosting a special event looking at Birkenhead’s past and people’s memories of the town. Come along (and bring any of your old keepsakes or photographs) to listen to a talk from local historian Elizabeth Davey, and share your special memories of Birkenhead. There will also be some fun activities to encourage conversation. This is a free event suitable for all ages. Please book tickets on our Eventbrite page here as soon as you can – spaces are filling up!

The PLACED team look forward to welcoming you back to BirkenEd’s Place. We hope to see you again next week!
