BirkenEd’s Place
Welcome to BirkenEd’s Place. A space for everyone to shape the future of Birkenhead.
Birkenhead is going through an enormous transformation over a 20-year period, and we want local people to shape what happens.
BirkenEd’s Place is a central hub for involving people who live and work in Birkenhead in the exciting plans for the town.
Find us on 8-10 Borough Pavement, Grange Precinct, Birkenhead, CH41 2XX.
BirkenEd’s Place will re-open on Monday 25th September.

BirkenEd’s Place will be a relaxed, creative space where everyone is welcome. Through changing exhibitions and events – from family craft sessions to walking tours – the space will give the people of Birkenhead an opportunity to shape the future of their town.
BirkenEd’s Place will create a hub for learning about ambitious plans, having discussions, developing ideas and – crucially – helping to shape decisions about the future of Birkenhead. Over four months, it will bring together several key projects into one space helping to make sure people can share their ideas in a meaningful way.
There will be opportunities to see how feedback and ideas shared in the space are changing proposals and shaping the future of the town. You can also learn how comments from previous consultations have helped to shape future projects and inform Council decisions.

Events and drop in
BirkenEd’s Place will offer more than a space to talk about Birkenhead; it will welcome people who need a place to spend some time, to do a bit of work, meet with a community group, take part in a craft activity, or simply have a warm drink and chat with other visitors and our friendly team.
Find out more about what’s happening on our Engagements and Events page.

How can you get involved?
There are many fantastic people and organisations in Birkenhead, all doing wonderful things.
BirkenEd’s Space is about collaboration and coming together to create a future for Birkenhead shaped by local people.
So, if you have an idea for an activity, run a regular group such as a book club or interest group, or would like to volunteer with us, we’d love to hear from you. Register your interest here.
Alternatively, drop us an email on kim@placed.org.uk
The space will be led by local organisation PLACED in partnership with Wirral Council, with input from the design teams involved in leading the various projects.
Together, we can shape the future of Birkenhead.
